Ankiro Search for EPiServer

Total integration
Ankiro Search for EPiServer is fully integrated in EPiServer CMS 5.0, which means that configuration and set up take place in the familiar EPiServer environment. The customer thus does not have to spend time getting to know a new interface or remember separate logins.
Incremental publication
Ankiro Search for EPiServer can be set up to index documents either at the time of publication or at regular intervals each day.
Field mapping
Supports full customization of mapping of fields from EPiServer to the search engine, allowing full control of which fields are to be searchable, for example, author or dato fields.
User-controlled document weighting
Ankiro Search for EPiServer supports up/downweighting at the document or node level. The editor can thus choose, for example, that everything under News archive is downweighted in relation to the rest of the content on the website.
Document binding
Even though Ankiro Search for EpiServer is very precise in its match, in some cases you may want certain documents to be the first to be found in a given search. The document binding tool lets you link one or more search words to a particular page so that it always comes first in the search result when users enter the search word.

With full support of EPiServer's standard search API – and the accompanying code examples – your developers do not have to spend hours integrating or adapting a search.
Hosted or local installation
Regardless of whether your business model dictates hosted or locally installed solution, you can use Ankiro Search for EPiServer. It can be installed on the same server(s) that host your EPiServer CMS or you can have it hosted by Ankiro’s hosting center.

If you have a large homepage or use EPiServer for your intranet site, for example, you probably have a number of different user groups, each of which has separate access to specific parts of your content. Ankiro Search for EPiServer in connected directly to EPiServer’s security model and uses it to determine what a given user is entitled to search in.
